Back pack has a rectangular base and bulging rectangular sides which terminate in a central blunt edge. To each of the sides, there is a coiled loop attached. Long handles originate from the center of the base on one of the long sides, pass through the loops, cross, and terminate at smaller loops attached to the center of the base on the short sides. The rim has been finished with rattan coiled over a firm rattan rod.

Round bowl of dark brown wood that has a depression in the centre surrounded by a broad rim and an outer raised rim. On opposite sides of the wide rim, there are two small wells. In the base below one small well, there are two holes to hold black wire loop for hanging.

Dark brown canoe-shaped dish decorated with brass studs which have been adhered to the rim. Adze marks visible on the exterior of the bowl. Brass studs grouped in sets of three, centred on the rims of each of the four sides. Small holes have been made through the base of the dish and one of the longer sides.

Canoe BailerA3398

Cedar bark canoe bailer with curved wooden handle. The outer bark has been removed from each end where the bark has been folded up and pleated. The ends have been secured to the carved wooden handle with wire and cotton, then covered with strips of bark. The only remaining outer bark is located on the inside surface of the bailer.

Mask depicting a monkey face with a fringe of hair carved into the wood from forehead to chin, small eyes with a small slit under each, and lips pressed together with upturned corners. The face is black and the hair is painted grey. The nose is rounded with semi-circlular slits for nostrils. There are holes either side of the face, behind the ears.

Basket in the shape of a suitcase. Side opposite lid has a large complex star figure in white, black and red, surrounded by beaded border of circles and semi-circles. Edges are decorated in red, black and white beading which creates a pattern of circles and semi-circles. The lid has a border similar in appearance to the side opposite, and an inner pattern of white chevrons and black verticals. Simple coiled work (with bifurcated stitches) with parallel slat base and lid construction.

Wood figure representing a male standing on a double oval pedestal. Has ovoid rounded eyes, upraised eyebrows, a large nose, a mouth, and big ears. Wearing a headdress or a hat with an angled protrusion at each side. Wearing an upper garment that has cross hatching around the shoulder areas with five pyramidal protrusions along the middle of each shoulder area. Two horizontal grooves run across the front of each upper arm with three or four smaller horizontal grooves across the front of the wrists. The arms are angled slightly along the sides. Has genitalia. Curvi-linear grooves are below the knee area. The pedestal has horizontal curvi-linear lines.
