Spinning WheelA8186 a-c

Carved, wooden spinning wheel. Part a is the handle and three pronged piece that slides through the middle hole of the spool (part c). These two parts, together, sit on top of upright end mounts attached to a rectangular base (part b).

A hollow, bottle-shaped, horn-like, brown wood whistle that is circular in cross section with a tapering neck. Bound with white string around near the wider end. The wider end has a scalloped edge. One side has a carving of a human face in profile facing to the left side. Has circle in circle in circle eye with a brow above that connects to two of the four side facial curving lines leading to the pouty mouth. Has curved hair lines from the top around to the back of the head.

Ladle with oval shaped bowl and long narrow handle. The handle has a rounded end with a hole through it. The underside of the ladle's bowl is rounded. The inside of the bowl has a dark shiny residue. The wood overall is a dark brown colour.
