Makers' stamp 'Saarn' and small crown crest stamped into side plate. 'C5289' stamped into brass fitting. '1844' stamped on butt.

Spear with metal spearhead that has curving sides, a pointed tip, a centre ridge, and a short cylindrical shaft. The spearhead is attached to the long wooden shaft with skin that has been stitched closed and secured with a piece of twine at both ends. The butt end of the shaft flares slightly.

The spearhead is bound to the wooden shaft with metal wire woven around the spearhead shaft and the wooden shaft, and the butt end of the wooden shaft flares outwards and then tapers inwards with four sides to a flat end.

A carved wood frog. It's black eyes are surrounded by a black area with a red nose. Flat base and back suggest that it was likely a platform for another figure. There is a nail with a small piece of string wrapped around on top of the back near the front.
