The case (part b) is made of thin wood covered with dark blue-purple silk and having a design consisting of a deer and good luck symbols embroidered in red and yellow on one side while there is calligraphy embroidered in dark blue on the other side on a yellow silk background. Wooden, circular tambourine with a skin ? cover and five sections of metal discs. The wooden frame is inlaid with square, diagonal and triangular pieces of mother-of-pearl and horn to form a geometric pattern. The metal discs are all similar with the exception of one set that has jagged edges.
