Carved wooden, crooked beak mask. The beak has red and white, ovoid shaped nostrils outlined with a red ovoid on a white septum; white incised detailing on the surface of the nostril. Running from the brow is a large, protruding, central black and white circular frill that projects upwards and curves downwards to the tip of the beak; white detailing along with a red ovoid. The mouth is red, flat, wide and protruding; black u-forms outlined in white along the upper edge. Behind the beak many white c-shapes. The underside of the beak is black decorated with a white figure and other shapes; hinged with rectangular pieces of leather. The eyes are black, outlined in white and red on a green ovoid shaped ground; the brow is black. The inside of the mask is hollow with the exception of pieces of fibre twine to articulate the beak. Attached to the top are two strips of wood; one is broken. The mask is painted black, white, red and green with Northwest Coast stylized forms.

Mask with a hooked nose, pronounced orange mouth and round eyes below an overhanging brow. Split-U details in large flaring ears. Black horse hair is attached to the head. Grey with black and white details, red nostrils and gold around the eyes, between the eyes and along the top of the ears. Unpainted on the top with several nails and attached cords.

Mask with rounded ears at the top sides, wrinkles on the forehead, a flattened nose and tapering cylindrical protrusions from the cheeks. The mouth has four fangs and thick lips. The bottom jaw is nailed closed. The mask is painted with green and red ears, a white and black forehead, heavy black eyebrows with white edges, green around the eyes, black on the temples, upper cheeks and chin, white around the mouth, red nostrils and lips, and green on the outised of the cylindrical protrusions with white on the inside. Cord attached at reverse.

The mask is painted light grey with a dark grey scalloped scale symbol design on the forehead, dark grey on the face with heavy black eyebrows, light grey with red on the temples, red nostrils, black cheeks, and a black moustache.

Mask (a) with white face and small circular eyes, black hair and thick black eyebrows with red between them. There is a red design at the top centre of the forehead, and there are two red semicircles at the temples. The nostrils and lips are also red. A tuft of feathers attached to a wooden stick with blue string and off-white fabric tape (b) fits into a hole in the top of the mask.

Fish MaskA6235

Mask representing a fish. The mask has a heavy brow, slightly protruding eyes, a curved nose with circular nostrils, a straight mouth and no chin. There is a cedar bark fringe attached in three bunches at the sides and top of the head with an off-white feather attached to the tuft on the mask's left side, and a longer fringe is attached at the top reverse. The mask is painted with silver around the eyes, a darker silver overall, black eyebrows and pupils, red nostrils and lips, each with an incised off-white border.
