Item Search

The item search helps you look through the thousands of items on the RRN and find exactly what you’re after. We’ve split the search into two parts, Results, and Search Filters. You’re in the results section right now. You can still perform “Quick searches” from the menu bar, but if you’re new to the RRN, click the Search tab above and use the exploratory search.

Mortar, Stone5179

Stone mortar. Decorated with geometric lines (chevrons) along outside rim of mortar.* Located in Anthropology Teaching Collection, Denny Hall, by Larkin Hood during inventory of Teaching supplies. On 10/13/98, Ms. Hood returned this mortar to the Burke Museum. The mortar appears to have been used for UW teaching purposes, as evidenced by corn residue lodged into the crevices in the bowl of the mortar.
