Item Search

The item search helps you look through the thousands of items on the RRN and find exactly what you’re after. We’ve split the search into two parts, Results, and Search Filters. You’re in the results section right now. You can still perform “Quick searches” from the menu bar, but if you’re new to the RRN, click the Search tab above and use the exploratory search.

Chipped Stone Tool5689

Chipped stone perforators straight and slender), not stemmed drills. Numbers of specimens -55- in upper left hand corner of ledger were entered by Frank Barnett who checked the material in 1939 while working as a volunteer. 3 traded to CMNH.* Five Drills (5689/178, 5689/179, 5689/180, 5689/47, 5689/49) returned from Grant County Public Utility District, Wanapum Dam Heritage Center on January 25, 1995. These materials were originally sent to Grant County PUD for future exchange (see Borrower's Agreement - 1966), but the exchange papers were never drawn up. Since this material was only loaned, not deaccessioned, the Grant County PUD returned it to the Burke. (L. Phillips, 1/26/95). Previous total count, off the computer, was 55. Now there are nineteen chipped stone tools. Eight are chert points, nine are chert drills, 1 is an obsidian drill and the last is a petrified wood drill (6/95). *Information is from the original accession ledger.
