Unpainted eagle, carved from a single piece of wood. Bird has large hooked beak, prominent brow ridge, and large circular eyes with tapered edges. The legs extend out front with talons down, wings are folded at the sides with three feathers on each side. The smooth, flat back extends up to the top of the bird's head, with exception to the tailfeathers at the lower back. Artist name on base.

Elbow Adze3259/33

Wooden elbow adze. Haft formed from elbow-shaped light brown wood. Smooth, long handle increases in outside diameter to pointed elbow, from which a thicker flat section extends downwards at an approximately forty-five degree angle. Haft's top surface is cut away where the blade is lashed with wire and nailed. Underside of haft base end has lashing projection.

Bear Cub Mask3259/2

Large wooden bear cub mask. Face has a wide, protruding snout, mouth open to show bared and clenched teeth, incisors fitting together closely. Lips are painted red. Black eyes are very large, sitting in slightly sunken hollows, above which are wide black brows. Squared ears span across the top of the head, painted black and red. Backside of mask is hollowed, with a wire attached for hanging.

Basket3259/44

Burden basket with tumpline. Small, square base; basket walls flare toward rim, with a slightly curved profile. Black and red cherry bark imbrication is used to create linear designs with deep ‘V’ shapes on all sides. Hide thong loops, tied through near the rim, hold a tumpline made of red and grey wool and braided cedar bark.

Head Ring3259/51

Head ring made of mountain goat wool and cedar bark. Thick strands of wool are wound around a bark core, with four bunches of shredded cedar bark attached around the ring. A small wooden stake made of cedar hangs from a brown string. Two brown pieces of fabric are tied around the wool. Small sections of wool have been coloured pinkish-red and black.

Net Shuttle3259/37

Net shuttle with fibre. Flat piece of wood with rounded point on leading end. Wide semi-circular notch at the other end with two prongs. Long hole cut out of the interior except for a single spike left protruding with fibre wound around it. Grass(?) is wound through the fibre.

Halibut Hook3259/34

Large wooden halibut hook. Two pieces of wood, lashed together by cotton sailor's binding, to form a V-shape. Iron spike is lashed at an acute angle to shorter arm. The hollowed-out arm is carved with an animal body, with exposed ribs, a hole in the chest, and vertebrae and a tail extending over the head of a bird.

D-Adze3259/32

D-shaped wooden handle with carved dog-like features at one end, and a pointed tail-like feature at the other. The handle grip bulges at the centre. The upper portion of the wooden handle is long, and then tapers on each side to the lower portion where it attaches to the blade. The repurposed axe blade has an 8 cm eye for a haft. The blade is attached to the handle by two nails - one at each end.
