Bed Cover1786/2

A long rectangular woven textile with a red fringe at both ends. The textile has four vertical panels of red and green stripes. The panels are separated by vertical bands of green, purple, black and pink. On both ends there are purple bands with four zigzag patterns with white edging. The twisted fringes end in knots. There are six loops at one end.

Fibre loom, partially woven into a tie. Threads are tied off at one end, followed by woven threads, with white and green down centre and blue on edges of dark red ground. Rest is of unwoven threads twisted together.

Drop Spindle2509/9

Item is a spindle with undyed, spun wool wrapped around above the whorl with a small, loose bundle of raw wool at the end of the completed thread. The spindle is plain wood. The whorl has two dark, incised lines running around the upper surface, and a double and single dark line running around the whorl's lower surface.

Ski Headband2509/8

Knitted headband with both edges curling over. On both edges of the headband, there is a row of alternating dark blue and red rectangles, below this is a white sawtooth pattern row. Two narrow dark blue lines flank a mirrored oval pattern.

A knitted wool hat, with a pompom at the peak, and alternating bands in blue, brown and grey, alternating with designs of green floral vine pattern and white geometric floral, insect, animal, bird and building motifs. Small band of blue waves and blue and white checks along the rim.

Hat2509/6

Long hat (chullu) with a multi-coloured and dark red pompom at the top. The white upper portion of the hat is undecorated. Band of multi-coloured squares divide upper and lower portion. The lower dark red portion has several bands of multi-coloured geometric floral, insect, bird, animal and building motifs, in white with pink, yellow, green and blue. White band of triangles and blue squares below, at rim.

Knit hat with brown upper portion and multi-coloured pompom, and red lower portion with bands of white, blue, green and orange geometric shapes, flowers, birds and insects a knit ruffle attached to one side of the rim. Two coloured bands at rim, one of orange sawtooth pattern, one of blue squares. The white ruffle has mulit-coloured stripes at the edge, blue, green, yellow, red and purple.

Incomplete Knitting2509/4

Early knitting with the needles still attached. Mostly grey wool, with a dark red strip at centre. There are approximately 13 rows of knitting attached to five, small, double-pointed knitting needles. A small ball of grey wool has been pushed on to the end of the needles.

Incomplete Knitting2509/3

An incomplete sample knitting. There are five small, double-pointed knitting needles attached to approximately 19 rows of round knitting. The knitting is grey with irregularities throughout the knitting. There is a small ball of grey wool pushed onto the ends of the needles.

Knitted tam with a grey pompom at the top, with multiple bands of designs. The bands are: dark red with white wave, red with flower and leaf vine, green with white wave, grey with dark red, blue and green animals and shapes, grey waves on white, purple waves, and purple, green, blue and white flowers and leaf vine, purple waves, and maroon.
