HatH1.29

A partial semi-conical-shaped hat with one end part flat, and curving rounded inward with the crown lined in natural burlap. Opposite end flat part is trimmed with red, green, and blue outward pointing triangular cloth flaps. One side is red. The other side has a geometric applique on a black background. Has wool "ribbons" with woven patterns in a natural brown-beige colour, and green, and red.

A woman's multi-coloured woven belt with repeated geometric designs of red, green, and off-white predominating. Lined and stiffened with light weight white cotton duck. Fastened with a small brass buckle attached with a leather tab while the opposite end has a narrower strip that has a deisgn consisting or a red zig zag along the middle on an off-white background surrounded by a blue dotted line at either side and outlined with a horizontal red band.

Headdress949/14

A headdress consisting of a rigid crown covered with blue cotton twill on the inside and red cotton on the outside. The outside is decorated with horizontal embroidered bands consisting of a pattern of red and blue diamond shapes. There is also a horizontal row of gold-coloured sequins, above which, there is a short horizontal row of silver-coloured flowers. Along the bottom edge, there is a red fringe. There are five vertical decorative elements consisting of a wool red, white, and green pompom at the top and dangling pendants of beads, tassels, bells, buttons, and shells. Another vertical element os a black cotton band with a cross stitch design which is attached across the inside of the crown and hangs down on the outside.

A long wide rectangular fabric piece made of woven cotton with a basic yellow colour. Has a geometric red, blue, green, pink, and gold-coloured patterned design consisting of solid diamond shapes, X-shapes, and star-like shapes woven in wool in larger portion along the end that has four bundled fringes. The unfinished end has a smaller portioned design consisting of same coloured horizontal bands.

A long wide woven fabric band. Main design is consisting of an alternating pattern of geometric horizontal bands, one of which is white on a red background while the other one of which is yellow-green on a blue background. Mutli-coloured tassels are along one edge. Ends have braided fringe.

Saddle Blanket1376/13

Multi-coloured saddle cover constructed of wool cut pile textile and decorated with a large octagonal tribal symbol, surrounded by multiple rows of border designs. Roughly square in shape, but with two adjacent corners cut off at 45-degree angles to accommodate the shape of the back of the saddle. There is a 16 cm slit at the opposite end, close to the edge. Side edges are selvage; front and back edges are turned once and secured with a coarse running stitch.

Coat701/4

Man’s wool coat with blue designs. The coat is made from narrow widths of dense, coarse wool textile that has been fulled and embroidered. The coat has long sleeves, side slits and centre front opening with three buttons. The edges of the opening, sleeves and hem have a triangular motif. On the front of the coat the embroidered designs consist of vertical rows of small circles On the back the designs include tree of life, diamond and ram’s horn motifs. The embroidery thread is indigo-dyed (?) wool fibre.

Socks701/2 a-b

A pair (parts a-b) of man’s long tubular heel-less wool socks decorated with multi-coloured designs. The interlooped fabric is very strong, and dense, and it has almost no stretch. The toes of the socks are embellished with brown chevron designs on an off-white ground. From the ankle to the knee, there are bands of stylized floral, and abstract shapes worked in green, purple, red, orange, and pink, some on a brown background while some on an off-white background. The tops are finished with a band of looped yarn and tassels made from twisted yarn. The two socks are identical in size, colour, and design.

Man’s flat pillbox style hat or cap made from soft, brushed, light gray wool textile. The circular crown is sewn to a turned-up cuff, which forms the sides of the hat. The crown is lined with brown silk or rayon satin textile.
