BowlNb668

Large, dark brown wood bowl that is rectangular in shape with curved sides and ends. The ends are carved like beavers that have ovoid in ovoid eyes, split u ears that have a pair of u forms in between, a cross hatched upward and downward curving tail in between the eyes, and a pair of u forms in the mouth. There are four sets of nine vertically grooved lines, one at either side of either end.

Dark brown wood bowl in the shape of a raven in flight. Has circle in tapering oval eyes, nostrils, and an open beak. The two-feathered side wings have seven grooved crescent shapes each. The tail has six feathers.

Bowl1570/24

Sea lion shaped bowl with protruding head, rear flippers, and short tail. Sides have incised decoration of front flippers and two ovoid shapes. Eyes and tail have inlaid shells pieces; rim has inlaid pieces of bone(?); teeth are inset bone. Inside of mouth is painted(?) red.

Ladle1570/20

Large, rounded wooden spoon-like ladle with an elongated cylindrical handle protruding from the top of the ladle at a forty-five degree angle. Made from a single piece of wood, the handle has a carved linear pattern around its centre while the ladle itself has a thin outline-like ridge carved on it following the shape of the outer edge.

Spoon1570/12

Spoon with shallow horn scoop hafted to another pointed horn. The inside surface of the bowl has incised decorations with inlaid shell and copper ? decorations. The handle is carved in relief and also has inlaid shell decorations.

Rattle1570/61

Rattle made of a ring with strips of skin coiled around it and hooves attached with fibre strung through holes in the pointed ends. A wooden cross is inside the ring to retain shape and a skin loop is off side at end of one of the cross pieces.
