Plate1042/12

Oval-shaped plate with rippled edge. Blue and white band decorated with flowers and leaves runs diagonally across the middle of the plate. The rest of the dish is white on one side of the band and light green on the other side of the band. On the underside of the plate, there are blue graphic designs on the outer rim, Japanese characters near the centre, and a smaller light-green section.

Silla Lid1490/2

Round, domed lid with central knob; knob is slightly hollowed out. Decoration is incised, short lines that radiate from knob and an incised band below these lines. A slight lip protrudes just above edge.

Cantonese Opera Ornament1490/1

Metal bird-shaped frame covered in rhinestones. Bird appears to be in flight, with outstretched wings and splayed tail feathers. A triangular cluster of rhinestones with a rhinestone fringe hangs from the bird's neck. A large pin is mounted to the underside of the bird.

Dark purple damask robe with rounded neck, wide sleeves and centre opening with metal frog closures. There are slits in the sides and back. The damask is woven containing large roundels with dragon and floral motifs. The inside is unlined.

Wall Hanging1459/8

Cream silk hanging on a carved wooden frame. In the centre is a large panel with a garden scene surrounding two figures in a building. Around the rectangular panel is cream applique trim and a wide border with large and small roundels on a geometric background. In the roundels are dragon and lion motifs. The wooden frames at either end are carved with bamboo and prunus motifs. On the upper frame are two metal step fret hooks. The backside is lined with rose damask silk.

Goblet-like vase with flared foot and wide straight body that flares directly to lip. Exterior is decorated with two household scenes both with two people; the scenes are surrounded by blue circle design with flowers and butterflies. Interior has geometric decoration in a band around the lip.
