The shaft is carved with dark vertically linear designs on a natural background above the cane joints. The base of the shaft, near the pointed end, is wrapped with fibre. The point is ornately carved with many barbs. The design is emphasized with red and white pigment.

The point is dark wood elaborately carved and multi-barbed. There is a sleeve of bird skin and feathers wrapped around the middle of the point dividing the elaborately carved portion of the point from the multi-barbed tip.
