Mask2655/149

Oval-shaped light brown coloured human portrait mask. Head and facial hair is black in colour, with head hair that extends from the top of the head down to the cheeks. Eyebrows are painted on eyebrow ridge and a moustache starts underneath the nose, parts at the mouth and tapers into two separate points below the chin. The mouth is slightly opened and has red lips and a white coloured band indicative of white teeth.

Dark brown mask with wide protruding forhead, deep set, cut-out triangular eyes, and a humped nose with a blunt tip. The carved mouth is slightly open with oval-shaped carvings of eyes(?) on the top portion of the lip between the mouth and nose, and long ear-like carvings on either side of the upper lip extending to the eyes.

Overall orange coloured portrait mask with a long protruding nose that flares slightly upward at the tip. Two long rectangular gold coloured eyebrows extend to the sides of the mask from the top of the nose ridge to the rim of the mask and have small black lines painted around the perimeter of three of the sides. The eyelids are cut-out and the eyes are white and blue and have black circular pupils with four lines extending from the centre. On the cheeks are two gold painted circles that also have small black painted lines around the perimeter. Two long gold rectangles with small black lines around the perimeter start under the nose and extend below the cheeks to create a moustache. The mouth is small and coloured light pink. The chin tapers to a rounded point and has a gold circle on its front with small black lines painted around the perimeter.

A mustard coloured human portrait mask with tapered rounded chin. Eyebrows are painted black and located just above, are additional grey eyebrow markings at a sharper angle. Eyelids are cut-out and follow the shape of the black eyebrows. Eyes are carved in relief, and are white and white with mustard coloured pupils. The nose is long and narrow with two holes at the end for nostrils. Cheek bones are defined with small raised ridges and on either side of the mouth are three sets of carved grooves indicative grinning. The moustache is painted black, is separated in the middle, and tapers to a flared point at the end. The mouth is carved in relief with a slight opening to the back. Two small pegs as teeth protrude from the right side. Teeth on the left side are missing, leaving two holes.

The object is a light cream-pink coloured clown mask with arched black painted eyebrows, oval-shaped cut-out eyes with grey painted triangular designs above the sockets, a large red bulbous nose, raised rose coloured cheek ridges, a black downturned moustache, and a heart-shaped dark pink mouth with a red circular tongue in the centre. There is one hole located on the forehead and two on each side of the mask parallel to the eyes. The back of the mask is painted light blue.

A beige-brown skull-style mask with bulging eyes that have a red bead in the centre. There is a hole in between the eye and the black eyebrows. The nostrils and the mouth are cut out with white teeth. The cheek bones are high and pointed, and the double chin protrudes. The upper part of the face is decorated with red lines. The hair is black with carved lines. There is a white and red headband which has a triangular pattern. Two braided hair pieces are carved along the sides. There are four holes at either sides of the mask. A string is tied around the upper two holes.

Large bear helmet. The ears are carved in relief and are wide at the bottom, tapering to a sharp point at the top. The eyes are wide-set, and are carved in relief. The snout protrudes straight out from between the eyes to a slightly defined nose-tip. The mouth is open wide and has a top and bottom row of teeth carved in relief. The bottom row of teeth on the left side has one protruding fang, while on the right side there is a small hole, possibly indicated a missing fang. Fibre rope is attached to the sides of the mask above the ears and attaches around the back of the head.
