Basket636/24 a-b

A small light brown cylindrical basket (part a) with a lid (part b). There are two brown and orange birds on opposite sides of the basket (part a) with wings outstretched and holding an arrow pointing counter-clock-wise with their feet. Two brown canoes are in between these birds on either sides. There are three horizontal rows of dark brown, yellow, and dark brown around the bottom of the basket (part a). The side of the basket tapers into an upright rim. The lid (part b) has a round red-brown knob at the top centre surrounded by a yellow, green, and red-brown sun-like circle with the same two birds on either sides. There are three horizontal rows of dark brown, yellow, and dark brown around the side of the lid (part b).

A wide oval light yellow-brown basketry ring. The letters "B. L. B." in blue are on one side and a green and orange bird with wings outstretched above a green arrow is on the other side. The edge rims have a horizontal row of red on the outside and of blue on the inside.

A small light brown oval basket (part a) with a lid (part b). Two horizontal red, and purple rows go around the bottom of the basket (part a). There is a purple whale on one side of the basket (part a), and a purple and blue canoe with people dressed in green and orange on the other side. The side of the basket tapers into an upright rim. The flat lid (part b) has a blue oval centre with a purple and blue canoe with people dressed in green and orange on either side of it. There is a horizontal red row around the bottom side of the lid (part b) with blue twining around the edge in between the top of the lid and its side.

A wood piece with a circle on the top and the bottom with four circular faces connected in a ring on long double diamond-shaped slabs in between. The faces have closed oval eyes, a thin short nose, a compressed oval mouth, and a set of four dots on each cheek and on the forehead with three vertical dots along the chin.

A relatively flat piece carved with a man's face turned to his left side over his shoulder. He has a moustache and a beard. He is carved wearing a necklace with a semi-conical grooved pendant. His hair is accentuated with oval dots carved into the wood to give it more texture and design. The piece is stained black. The back side has a nail in the middle of the head with a light brown string attached.

Shallow woven coiled basket with slightly flared rim. Main part of basket is light-yellow in colour and the woven design is light-brown in colour.
