Small figurative gold weight of a bird. The bird's body is formed with two loops, one slipped over the other, to create a knot. The head is at the other end of one loop, and the tail opposite the end of the other loop. The bird has a long neck with a comb on top of its head. The tail is flat and triangular, angled upwards, and marked with concentric triangles. The bird stands on a thin rectangular base.

Small gold weight of a bird with its elongated neck curved so that its beak touches its back, just above the raised tail feathers. The eyes and wings are concentric circles. The upward angled tail has small notches along the end. The bird stands on a square stepped pedestal, with triangular notches at the centre of each side of the bottom two steps.

Small gold weight of a pair of birds facing one another, with their beaks side by side. The birds both have combs on their heads, four raised dotted lines around their bodies, and flat triangular tails marked with cross-hatched lines. They rest on a shared perch that is mounted on a single post at centre, which attaches to a stepped square pedestal.

Blanket3600/7

Heavy white rectangular blanket consisting of six woven strips, stitched together along the long edges. Five decorative columns run across centre section of blanket; all made up of black geometric designs with brown, yellow, and white highlights throughout. Designs consist of triangles, diamonds, checkers, plain and dotted lines, and zigzags. Central section bordered by wide brown bands, with white and black diamonds through middles, trimmed with black; white dots along black borders. Additional geometric motifs on outer edges of brown bands. Left and right edges of blanket bordered with black bands; two braided tassels extend from either side, in centre.

Sandals3600/10 a-b

Pair of leather and rubber sandals with ankle and toe loop straps; straps threaded through cuts in insoles and nailed down. Soles are flat, rounded at toes and heels; “X”’s incised along edges of rounded sections of insoles. Straps are beige leather and have patterned bands across surfaces. Patterns consist of: triangles and zigzags, thin and thick stripes, checkered bands, and diagonal stripes. Designs done in dark blue, gold, white, dark red, and green.

Red dome-shaped hat with blue decorative band around sides. Pattern along band has central design of a vertical line with a square in the centre, framed on either side by alternating rectangles. Designs in rectangles alternate between stripes and vertical arrows with horizontal bars. Designs on band are done in red; interior of hat is unlined.

Clay carving representing the Asantehene, on a rectangular base. Figure has a triangular face, prominent brows, oval-shaped eyes, wide nose, and thin incised mouth. He has semi-circular eyes protruding from his head, and is wearing a circular headdress with triangles on either sides; dots incised in rows across headdress. Male figure is depicted sitting on a high-backed chair, with a long cloth wrapped around him; cloth drapes over left shoulder, leaving right arm exposed. Cloth is decorated with long bands filled with dots. He has a wide strap across his right shoulder, decorated with stripes; large bracelet on his right wrist, decorated with incised diagonal lines. Bottom of carving is undecorated.

Carved wooden mask depicting a humanoid face with a prominent brow; rounded ridge runs down lower half of brow, extending into thin nose. Face smoothly curves outward into a protruding chin; trapezoid-shaped mouth along outer edge, teeth carved in relief. Incised linear motifs across forehead, cheeks, and above eye slits. Two curved horns extend from either side of mask, square protrusions underneath horns; horns decorated with cross-hatching, squares have tiered rectangles across surface. Two cylinders extend from top of mask, framing an inverted triangle with horizontal bars on its front. Sides of mask have holes drilled into them; interior is hollowed.
