Wooden guardian figure. Figure sits in a crouched position, hands resting on knees that are drawn up to chest. Head and face are elongated, nose and mouth wide, brows heavy. A round hat sits high on the head, with a small brim under three tall rings at crown.
Model totem pole. Pole is carved from wood, left mainly natural colour, with facial features highlighted in red and black paint. At centre is a large bear with prominent snout, tongue emerging between canine teeth. Bear is in a sitting position, a small human-like figure held in front with the bear's claws on his shoulders; the figure’s hands sit on the claws, his mask-like face just above. At the top of the pole a small wolf face emerges between the bear’s ears, with a leg carved at each side. Back of the pole is unpainted and hollowed out.
Large wooden bear cub mask. Face has a wide, protruding snout, mouth open to show bared and clenched teeth, incisors fitting together closely. Lips are painted red. Black eyes are very large, sitting in slightly sunken hollows, above which are wide black brows. Squared ears span across the top of the head, painted black and red. Backside of mask is hollowed, with a wire attached for hanging.
Painted dogfish mask with oval-shaped face. The mask is carved from a single piece of wood. The dogfish has a large mouth, jagged teeth, and a long red tongue. The arched form above the head is incised with three curved gill slits and two circles. There are also four gill slits on each side of the face. Back has 'HAIDA ART' and signature 'Reid' incised near top. (On the back two eye screws are strung with picture wire and a third, larger eye screw is loosely attached to the wire.)
Wooden bear face mask. Bear has large circular black eyes surrounded by a tapering black oval, outlined in red. Eyes sit in slightly sunken hollows, above which are prominent black brows. Red split U within black U form ears, curling red nostrils, and a red tongue sticking out. 'HAIDA ART' and Reid's signature carved into base of mask and again on the back. (The back has two eye screws strung with wire, for hanging.)
Rectangular cigarette lighter with flat sides and rounded ends. Depicted is the figure, whose face covers the ends while the body wraps around each side. The figure is in a crouched position with its head near the ground and resting next to its hands. Fine hatching in the negative space. Artist inscription "HAIDA ART Reid" on base.
Square shaped silver earrings (parts a-b) with rounded corners depicting an eagle's head in profile. Inscriptions on back of both read: "HAIDA ART" and "Reid." On screw back is "STERLING".
Wide silver bracelet with hinge clasp. Deeply carved sea bear (Tschumos) design, with wide grin, flaring nostrils, and showing its broad row of teeth and protruding tongue. The back section is engraved deeply with clawed feet and cross-hatching in between. Artist’s inscription on back: HAIDA ART / Reid.
Cast gold grizzly bear ring. Large bear face at centre, with carved leg at each side of face. Stippled surface. Front of ring is wide, with band narrowing toward the back. Artist inscription inside: Reid / 76 / 5/10.
Round, gold brooch, or pendant. Engraving on surface of an eagle in profile, with crosshatching in negative space. On the back is a pin clasp, along with a pendant hanging element at top. HAIDA ART / Reid inscription on back.
