An abstract drawing of a killer whale on a white bookmark. The front-side is vertically oriented and is hand-drawn in black pen ink. The killer whale's body is shaded in with black pen ink; it is decorated with three ovoids, three uncoloured elongated diamonds, five uncoloured tower-shapes with a circle at the top, three U-shaped areas filled with a criss-cross pattern, and one area above the whale's dorsal fin filled in with a criss-cross design. The eye of the whale is centred within an elongated diamond-shape and an uncoloured oval; at the rear of the whale's head is an exaggerated blowhole. The artist's signature, a "M" with a line through it and two dots, is in the bottom right corner. The reverse-side of the bookmark is machine-printed in pink ink. At the top is an outline of a seagull(?), below is the bookstore's name, "Reflections Books," the commercial information, and a quote by Richard Bach.
A drawing on a single-sided piece of white paper. The drawing is vertically oriented. At the top is a crescent moon-like being with a decorated eye patch, and a mouth. Protruding from coastal mountains is the head of a thunderbird(?) with an arrow extending outwards from its mouth. The mountains divide the scale of the images; the images above the mountains are distant and aerial, and everything below the mountains is at close range and is underwater. Just below the surface of the water is a harpoon tip on a rope; the rope has a single loop with a small human skull lightly drawn within the loop. To the right of the harpoon tip is a human-like being positioned headlong in the water; the human-like being is decorated with hair, dots descending down the neck, a small human skull on the forearm, and a rib-like pattern drawn on the torso. Kelp, intermixed with fifteen human skulls of varying sizes, extends from the head of the human-like being to the seabed at the bottom of the page. Within the kelp is a fish appearing to ingest a human skull. The fish body is decorated with curving lines with intermediate dots, and the tail fin is drawn as a human-like face. The artist's signature, a "M" with a line through it and two dots, is positioned in the bottom right corner. The reverse-side of the paper is blank.
A drawing on a whitish grey coloured bookmark. The front-side is vertically oriented and is hand-drawn in pencil. The central image is an underwater human-whale being. The being has human facial features and limbs; bubbles rise from a blowhole at the back of the head and a fin extends from the humped back. The being is surrounded by a school of small fish, one jellyfish and one larger fish. The artist's signature, a "M" with a line drawn through it and two dots, is on the bottom right corner. The reverse-side of the bookmark has a machine-printed image of a black cat with sheet music extending from the right-side of its face. The commercial information, including the bookstore's name, "Clarion Books & Music" is printed on the reverse.
A drawing on a bookmark. The front-side of the bookmark is a hand-drawn image of a salmon on a white background. The drawing is horizontally oriented. A blue wavy line, representing the waterline, extends horizontally across the upper part of the page. The salmon is centrally positioned on the page. Most of the salmon is coloured in with green ink; the side of the salmon is decorated with crisscrossing assemblages of orange lines in varying lengths and thicknesses. The lateral line running the length of the body is decorated with a green crisscross design. The dorsal, pectoral, pelvic, anal, and the caudal fin of the salmon are white with a green border and a green dash pattern. A human-like being is drawn in orange ink in the bottom right corner of the bookmark; the being has a human-like face. Orange bubbles rise from its mouth. A human-like arm extends from the top of the being's head. The human-like hand, decorated with an unshaded ovoid, is drawn holding a black fishing line. A black-brown fishing hook and a small orange fish are drawn at the end of the fishing line. The reverse-side of the bookmark is machine-printed; the background is orange, and text is in red and black ink. At the top, an open cartoon book displays the bookstore's name, "Clifford's Wake." Printed below is the store's commercial information.
A drawing of a human skull and a flame on a one-sided, vertically oriented, piece of paper. The top edge of the paper is cut at an angle; the right-side of the paper is shorter than the left. The background of the drawing is filled with crisscrossing assemblages of line patterns of varying lengths and thicknesses in light green, light blue and dark green ink. In the middle-section, a human skull is outlined in dark green ink with the interior space left white; the eye sockets are coloured in with dark green ink. Dark green dots outline the right half of the eye sockets and the skull. The flame, drawn in red-orange and yellow ink, is positioned at the bottom of the drawing and extends upwards so that the upper sections of the flame overlay the skull. The reverse-side of the paper is blank.
A pencil drawing on a blue bookmark. The bookmark is vertically oriented. The front-side is a hand-drawn image of a lightning serpent(?). Curled projections, on top of the serpent's head, extend from the shaded snout to the base of the head. The lips of the creature are darkly shaded in with pencil. Rounded teeth line the upper and lower jaw. Two bell-like shapes, each with three segmented appendages, are drawn on its back. The reverse-side of the bookmark is machine-printed in black ink. At the top, an image of a cat is superimposed resting on the top edge of the text box's border; within the border is the bookstore's commercial information including the store's name, "Bookends."

Below, a green triangle embellished with a pattern of green crisscrossing lines extends from the left edge of the page. Further down, a purple triangle decorated with a pattern of purple crisscrossing lines extends from the right edge of the page. The area between the two triangles is coloured yellow and a swirl of purple dots is centrally positioned. The right half of a human skull, drawn in green ink, extends from the bottom of the purple triangle. The reverse-side of the paper is blank.

The pectoral fin is decorated with a shaded circle enclosed by two larger circles, a creature, and a shaded ovoid. A small dorsal fin extends from a rounded hump three-quarters down the whale's body. The whale's tail is undecorated. The reverse-side of the bookmark is machine-printed in blue ink. The bookstore's logo, three squares in a L-shape, is in the bottom left corner. To the right and extending upwards at a shallow angle is the bookstore's name, "hager books;" and the store's commercial information.
