The body is circular as viewed from the top with a concave indent at the centre, which is pierced by a filling hole and six bas-relief stylized palm branches. A nozzle protrudes from the front and there is a curved handle with a point at the top at the back of the lamp.

The top surface of the lamp is entirely covered in cruciform relief decoration using chevron, herringbone and spiral designs. Fired to a brownish colour.
