Found in a paper level bag labelled "canis, sj5". SJ5 wasn't the only site that was within the bag. The paper level bag also contained elements of SJ2, and SJ185. I was able to locate the appropriate sites for the pieces due to the fact that the bones all had grease pencil markings on them. JLA The artifacts in this level bag are assumed to be associated with the Burroughs 1949 excavation, based on the site and subsite (letter) designations on the bag, as well as, the age of the bag. Many similar level bags were found in the Archaeology Lab in 1997-1998. There is no level bag list in the documents (see Burke Archives) from Burroughs' excavation, and the level bags were not numbered. The oinly other thing was that oin the outside of the bag was written "send to carl", but this was crossed out.
