Mask composed from two pieces of wood nailed together at an angle and painted white with black hair, black eyebrows, circular eye holes outlined with an eye shape in black lines, a orange-red-tipped nose, orange-red lips, and three red crescent shapes either side of the nose. Brown wood rattle consisting of two rounded pieces put together, each with a semi-cylindrical handle, creating a full rounded copper-shaped rattle. Along either sides of each piece, there is a hole to bind the two pieces together with green string. Handle is bound with brown string. Designs consisting of a face painted on both sides. On one side, the face is on the upper portion with circular black eyes surrounded by a green area with a pair of green and black u forms above, red nostrils, and four red teeth. The lower portion is divided into two vertically bisymmetrical halves by green with black dots and green dashes within while red is along the bottom. On the other side, the face is the lower portion with circular black eyes outlined by a carved diagonal tapering oval surrounded by a green area, a long green nose with red nostrils, and a green forehead. The upper portion has two inward facing profile bird heads with four green and black vertical panels in between them and two green panels above with green dots along the top.

Mask with angular face, protruding eyes and recessed eye sockets, hooked nose and protruding lips. Small cedar bark fringe on forehead. Tha mask is painted white with heavy black eyebrows separated by red, black eye pupils and rims, a red scalloped design beside the eyes, black over the top of the nose, red nostrils and lips, black and red curved lines to the sides of the mouth and over the cheeks, and black at the jawline. Short cedar bark fringe attached at top of forehead. Off-white cord attached at back of mask.

Xwixwi mask with protruding cylindrical eyes, hooked nose, and protruding recurved tongue. The mask is painted with green around the eyes, red nostrils, a red mouth and tongue, a black moustache, and thick black eyebrows. There is a scalloped border in black around the rim. An off-white cord is tied through three holes in the top reverse of the head and two holes either side of the face.

Salmon mask made from two pieces of wood joined together at an angle. Round protruding eyes and triangular slightly protruding nose are separate pieces of wood that have been attached to the mask. The mask is painted white with red and black ear-like designs above heavy black eyebrows, red nostrils and lips, and a red and black lobed design with two rows of curved dashed lines on each cheek. Slight ridge under eyebrows, and the slightly open mouth protrudes outwards. Cedar bark attached in bunches at crown and on sides. Three holes under the nose.

Mask with cedar bark fringe at top and a bundle of cedar bark at either side, a protruding brow and hooknose, crescent-shaped eye holes, and an open mouth with protruding lips. A bunch of white and grey feathers is bound to a wooden stick (part b) with blue thread and adhesive fabric tape, and fits into a hole in the top of the mask. The mask is painted white with heavy black eyebrows, black pupils and eyelids, red nostrils and lips, and a curved black line on both sides that accentuates the cheeks. A piece of wood is attached across the back at the top. Two holes either side of the mouth near the edge of the mask.

Loon HeaddressA6102

Loon headdress. Loon is positioned as if in a swimming/seated position, and has a red and yellow beak, light green around its eyes, a grey body and black, red and light green ovoid designs on each wing. There is a hole carved through the central upper back area. The underside is carved out to fit on top of a person's head.

Bird HeaddressA4036

Headdress with a swan on top of a sisiutl. The wings of the swan sit horizontally at its sides, and the tail has a face design near the end. The back of the bird has three holes in it. Below the bird is a sisiutl facing forward with two curled ears protruding in front of the bird, and there are two figures with curled noses in profile on the sides, each with a curled ear protruding upwards. Painted in red, green, black and dark yellow.

Carved wooden, long, crooked beak mask. The beak has red, ovoid shaped nostrils with a red and white u-form behind it and repeating small white u-forms above. Running from the brow is a long central black frill that protrudes outward then curves downwards to the top, tip of the beak. The mouth is red, narrow and protruding. The underside of the beak is black. The bottom parts of the beak are hinged with rectangular pieces of leather. The eyes are black, outlined in white and red on a white ovoid shaped ground; brow is black. The inside of the mask is hollow with the exception of pieces of fibre twine that articulates the beak. The top and back have long stripes of cedar bark with small pieces of eagle down intertwined. Hanging from the bottom edge are pieces of twine that hold long cedar strips. The mask is painted black, white and red with Northwest Coast stylized forms.
