Print of the side of a snow covered cliff. There are a group of people traveling up the side of the cliff. A building is at the top. Trees line the slope. Print of Kameyama Station (#46). This is one of a series of reproductions of the "53 Post Stations on the Tokaido Hwy." from Nihonbashi to Kyoto (Hoei-do edition). Print is matted on a piece of white-yellow paper and has an additional cover page that folds over the print. A printed inscription on the cover page reads: “ KAMEYAMA A station on the Ise-sangu Line (the line for the Ise Shrine). The remains of the Kameyama Castle are approximately half a mile to the north-perhaps the scene of this print." There are Japanese characters at the top, bottom, and side of the printed message.

This is one of a series of reproductions of the "53 Post Stations on the Tokaido Hwy," from Nihonbashi to Kyoto (Hoei-do edition). Print is matted on a piece of white-yellow paper and has an additional cover page that folds over the print. A printed inscription on the cover page reads: " HAMAMATSU Hamamatsu Castle in the distance. In spite of the cold, Kumosuke (coolies)are wearing only loin-cloths and short coats. They warm themselves at a blazing fire." There are Japanese characters at the top, bottom, and side of the printed message.

A printed inscription on the cover page reads: " FUKUROI The shadow of the large tree along the road is a fit location for this tea house. The four figures seem to have walked straight out of the previously mentioned novel 'Hizakurige.'" There are Japanese characters at the top, bottom, and side of the printed message.

A printed inscription on the cover page reads: "KAKEGAWA After the traveller [sic] descends from the mountain, there is a plain extending for some miles. The beginning [sic] is called Kakegawa. This print is considered one of the best in the Takaido series." There are Japanese characters at the top, bottom, and side of the printed message.

The cover page has a printed inscription that reads: " HODOGAYA Now included in Yokohama City. This hilly town, with its many narrow canals has changed little since Hiroshige's time." This is one of a series of reproductions of the "53 Post Stations on the Tokaido Hwy," from Nihonbashi to Kyoto (Hoei-do edition). Print is matted on a piece of white-yellow paper and has an additional cover page that folds over the print. A printed inscription on the cover page reads: " KAWASAKI Now a centre for heavy industries between Tokyo and Yokohama. In olden times people crossed the Rokugo Rover by ferry boat. The modern iron bridge at Kawasaki now bears no resemblance to this print. Upstream, however, one may find a similar view." There are Japanese characters at the top, bottom, and side of the printed message.

This is one of a series of reproductions of the "53 Post Stations on the Tokaido Hwy," from Nihonbashi to Kyoto (Hoei-do edition). The print is mounted on a white-yellow piece of paper and has an additional cover page that flips up. Cover page has a printed inscription that reads: "NIHON-BASH Fifty-five prints depict the post stations between the starting point of the Tokaido at Nihonbashi in Yedo or Tokyo and its end at Sanjo in Kyoto. Distances from Tokyo are still officially measured from this ancient starting point." This inscription is accompanied by Japanese characters on the top, side and bottom of the printed message.

Akujo mask. Brown coloured mask with high upraised eyebrows outlined with black diagonal lines and three curvy horizontal lines carved for furrows at the wrinkled brow. The slightly triangular inset eyes bulge out at an angle as the high cheek bone angles to a downward bulge. The open cut out mouth has upper teeth. The moustache and goatee are painted with curved black lines. There is a grouped clump of curly black hair coming down from each upper corner of the mask from a set of holes. The beard is also done in a similar fashion to the hair. The pupils of the eyes and the nostrils are also cut out.

Circular brooch with a circular central cutout. Around the cutout is zigzag engraving and a row of heart-shaped cutouts. A row of scalloped zigzag engraving lies between the hearts and the outer edge. Cross-pin at central hole. Maker’s mark stamped between two hearts.
