The carving is mounted on a flat rectangular piece of wood with an inscription on the bottom: "Coal carrying."

The two passengers sit on either side of a vertical protrusion that divides the cart in two--a piece a red fabric with a white floral pattern is draped over this divider and onto the floor of the cart where the passengers sit. The carving is mounted on a flat rectangular piece of wood with an inscription on the bottom: "....One method of transportation."
