Knife2516/13 a-b

Knife (part a) with pointed, wavy-edged blade. Blade has three incised perpendicular lines near handle end, with a deep notch cut into the top edge of the blade, as far as the second incised line. The blade is set into the handle at a 45 degree angle. The wooden handle widens out into a horn-like handle shape. The blade is secured into the handle with a stainless steel ring. The scabbard (part b) is made of malacca wood which appears to have many lengthwise dark and light stripes throughout. The scabbard 'throat' is made of the same dark wood as the handle. The area where the two woods join appears to have been broken and glued back together.
