Large brownish black scallop feathers are roughly scattered over a grayish beige body, becoming wavy lines and short curls around the stubby black ears. Large orange eyes are recessed with dark bulging pupils and the hooked beak is like an open pincer.

Miniature, egg-shaped white clay owl, with no appendages, has hand painted body details in black and orange over a white background. Long overlapping feathers cover all of body except for small face area at top front. Painted vertical beak sits between orange eyes with large dark pupils are encircled with dot eyelashes.
