Land Disputing in Port Vila3005/1

Large horizontally rectangular painting. At the left of the composition are two male figures with brown skin fighting beside a case full of gold coins, while a male with pink skin and a white hat walks away from them at the right of centre. All three figures have shell-like heads. The right end of the painting has a wide grey stripe with four red rectangles and eight brown squares arranged in a vertical, linear pattern. Artist initials(?) or symbols and date painted at the bottom right, along the base of the tree.

Owl Figure2985/6

Very small ceramic owl with grey-white body and black and brown painted decoration. Back and tail have a painted feather pattern. Stomach, back, and area around eyes are brown. Circular eyes are black in the centre surrounded by a ring of yellow and a larger red area outlined in black. Talons and tail protrude from base to stabilize the figure. Inscription on base: CY.

Owl Figure2985/2

Small ceramic owl with orange-white body and dark orange painted feather pattern on body and line pattern on wings and tail. The protruding beak extends to attach below the mouth, forming a loop. The beak and ears are entirely dark orange. There are metallic flecks visible in the dark orange paint. The wings and tail all protrude from the body. Inscription on base: -Zuni- S.K.L. "09."

Three Faces of the Dragonfly2975/1

Woven three-sgil hat, with a painted dragonfly design. The hat is conical in shape, with slightly concave sides that flare to the brim. Stylized line paintings of dragon flies decorate the body of the hat, in black and bright red-orange. At the top of the hat are three stacked basketry rings (sgil), unpainted. A headband is woven into the interior of the hat. Davidson's initials and date are painted inside.
