Drawing on horizontal rectangular sheet of ivory paper of a family moving in the summer. Woman is carrying a child in her amautiq. A dog in front of the woman is carrying a pack with caribou legs in it. There is a child behind the woman who has a dog walking beside him and a dog on a leash behind him. Title is written in syllabics across the top.
Woven three-sgil hat, with a painted dragonfly design. The hat is conical in shape, with slightly concave sides that flare to the brim. Stylized line paintings of dragon flies decorate the body of the hat, in black and bright red-orange. At the top of the hat are three stacked basketry rings (sgil), unpainted. A headband is woven into the interior of the hat. Davidson's initials and date are painted inside.
Small weaving sample, woven on a loom, made of dyed wool and another fibre (packing material ?). The textile is rectangular, with uneven sides. At top and bottom are thick strips of white and yellow weaving. Between them, the body of the work is a random mix of dark blue, yellow and white fibres, with specks of orange.
Round leather mat with a beaded, frontal image of a fox’s face. The animal has black and white eyes, a black blaze on the forehead narrowing toward snout, and black and yellow ears. Around the perimeter of the leather are alternating sets of orange and black beads. Part of the edge of the leather has been cut into short thick fringe, while the rest is untouched. Visible on the back of the piece are the threads used to attach the beads to the front.
Round leather mat with a beaded image of a bird’s head in profile. The head is black with a black beak, white eye, and white cheek. Groups of green beads encircle the bird at the perimeter of the leather. The edge of the mat is cut into short, wide, irregular fringes. Visible on the back of the piece are knotted threads used to attach the beads to the front.
Painted hide wall hanging. Scene shows several people in traditional dress engaged in a variety of activities. Two are walking with a foal, one person is sitting astride a horse that is on a yellow and red blanket held by two other people. Others hold small leafy branches. Trees and hills can be seen in the background. The scene is surrounded by a blue perimeter line. The edges of the hanging are cut with uneven fringes. The signature is painted on the bottom as “Johnnie Stelkia THITH-HAK-KEY”.
Painted hide. The scene shows two humans centrally located, with a seated woman and a standing man, who is addressing a group of rabbits and foxes with human bodies. All are dressed in traditional clothing. Behind the woman are two birds also with human bodies and similarly clothed. A border of red and blue diamond shapes surrounds the scene. Pencil guide lines are visible throughout the scene and border. The edges of the leather are cut with fringes. On the bottom right corner is an inscription “SIN-NAM-HIT-QUH”.
