Wooden portrait mask, with long dark hair. Front surface almost completely painted in red, green and black designs; mouth slightly open showing a row of operculum shell teeth; two curved copper bands nailed on as eyebrows; four cut feathers at the top of forehead, with the ends of the quills projecting down through holes to the inside of the mask. The inside of the mask is plain wood, with a horizontal wooden mouth piece attached. Edge of hair pieces inserted in a cut opening along the full length of each side.

Kadyutaguk in the Igloo and Tunituarak Giving Birth to a Little Brother for her Son3673/4

Stonecut print on rectangular off-white paper, in horizontal orientation; done in black ink. Design of a person in an igloo and a woman giving birth. The igloo has a circular protrusion on top, and a black base with syllabics across it. The woman is giving birth next to a bare tree, underneath an overhanging branch. Additional tree on the right side of the print, with another person hanging upside down from one of the upper branches. Edition number, 11/50, title, print maker, artist, and year made written in pencil along bottom edge; title, maker, and artist written in both syllabics and English. Canadian Eskimo Arts Council logo embossed in bottom right corner; additional logo, consisting of syllabics inside a rhombus, embossed in bottom left corner.

Owl Figure3642/2

Large pear-shaped polychrome pottery owl. Wide-eyed upright bird with matte white slip and painted feathers. There are protruding vertical wings with painted feathers on each front, and an arch of tail feathers at the back. There is a small 1 cm hole at the back. The owl has large raised circular orange eyes with large black pupils encircled by small black dots. The owl has two pointed orange ears on top of the head that extend down into a small hooked beak with two small painted nostrils. 'ACOMA, N.M.' and 'P1581' on base. Unsigned.

Large pear-shaped polychrome pottery owl. Wide-eyed upright bird with glossy off-white slip and painted feathers. The owl has large inset circular orange eyes encircled with lash-like lines. There are two small painted nostrils instead of a beak. Two small, rounded ears on top of the head that are orange on the front, and black on the back. There is a small 1 cm hole in the base. 'ACOMA, N.M.' and '4' on base. Unsigned.

Moccasins3617/1 a-b

Pair of white deer skin moccasins with beadwork on vamp and sides; openings lined with white fur. Soles, sides, and toes are made up of a large piece of skin, stitched together at toe and heel; vamp is separate. Vamp has a central design of pink and red flowers with yellow centres, and dark and light green leaves. Edges of vamp are bordered with red, maroon, and light green bands. Beadwork on sides of moccasins have a central pink flower with yellow centre, framed with dark purple and yellow buds; buds and flowers are connected with light green and white vines and leaves. Moccasins are lined with plain cloth.

Small round off-white dish painted with black and green design elements. Inside of dish has design of a bird-like creature holding a fish in its claw. The upper creature has a fin on its head and a wing and tail. Both have black outlines with black and green elements. Black circle painted in the centre; black and green painted around the top of rim, with seven sets of three unpainted lines. The base has the Lambert Potteries stamp and a hand-written inscription: Salish Spindle Whorl / Hand-painted / T.

Drum Dance; Nine Figures & Drummer3497/2

Drawing of nine human figures circling a yellow drum in the centre. All have their heads pointed towards the drum, their bodies stretched out towards the edges of the paper. Seven of them are forward facing, and wearing snowsuits and boots. Colours of suits and boots are dark yellow, dark green, red, turquoise and dark brown. All have oval-shaped eyes, straight brows, slits for nostrils and open oval-shaped mouths. Two figures, towards the right side of the drawing, are done in profile with dark green parkas and matching pants and boots. Their faces are coloured yellow and both have bundles on their backs. A small tenth figure crouches beside the drum, hitting it with a drumstick. The figure is coloured black, with red and green undertones, has a pointed face and red hand. Syllabics written in the bottom right corner in turquoise. Pencil inscription on back, in bottom right corner.
