Below the river, six small objects line the river bank, and a small pink human figure stands beside a green plant. There are three human stick figures floating in the river.

The composition is dominated by an undulating band that crosses the page diagonally from the upper left to the lower right and is coloured pink and magenta. This band represents a river, and there are five yellow human figures floating in the river. There is one other yellow human figure on the upper bank of the river. The words "rio Lempa" have been written in pencil at the top of the page. Above the river, there is a pink human figure and eight green trees. Below the river, there is a green and red house, a small blue animal, two human figures holding hands, and ten trees. The bottom half of the image seems to be domestic in nature.

There are two human figures floating in the water. There is a battle taking place around the water, and this war scene contains seven soldier figures dressed in green and holding guns, as well as three civilian figures drawn in pencil. Two illegible words have been written and crossed out near the top of the page.

At the top of the composition, a green and yellow helicopter is dropping two bombs, both labelled "bomba", on two separate groups of human stick figures. One of the bombs is green and the other is yellow. To the right of the helicopter, in the upper right corner, two large soldier figures dressed in green are pointing guns at what appears to be a family of four (two adults, two children). The bottom half of the drawing consists of a building on fire. There are two small human figures in the flaming building, and three figures dressed in green are surrounding the building. Above the house is a large human figure drawn in pencil that is wearing a brimmed hat and is sitting on a chair. There is a single, red human figure lying on the ground to the left of this seated figure. The bottom of the page contains two groupings of human stick figures, and both groupings have been labelled "muertos".

To the right of the tree is a single human figure coloured green and wearing brown boots. The left side of the composition contains the words "El Salvador". Below this, there is a green helicopter and a green and orange plane labelled "A-32". A flaming house has been drawn in the upper left corner, and there are six human figures below. Two of these figures are dressed in green and are pointing guns at the other figures, which have been coloured orange. Two of the figures that have been coloured orange are holding objects on top of their heads. The green figures likely represent soldiers and the orange figures likely represent civilians.

The centre of the composition contains a large building, a car, a large blue female figure and two green and orange flowers. The female figure is holding something on her head. At the top of the composition, a human figure in pencil is shooting a green gun at a purple plane. The plane is in the upper right of the picture, and it is flying over a wooded scene wherein a human figure is walking in a green patch containing flowers and trees. Clouds, rain, and the sun have been drawn above this wooded scene. The lower right of the composition consists of a diagonal blue band which represents a river. A human figure and a bird are floating in the river.

Laminated children's drawing consisting of a piece of beige legal paper mounted on a piece of blue construction paper. There is a rectangular piece of white paper on the back carrying the inscription "The soldiers came and killed our families in El Salvador". On the front, an inscription in orange and green crayon reads "martes 1 Febroro de 1983" at the top of the page. To the lower left of this inscription is another in blue ink which reads "Marina Otero 4 - anos". Across from this inscription is a large drawing of a green flower. Below this is a scene containing an orange and yellow church with a pink cross and two doorways. There is a human figure in each doorway, and a large yellow flower on each side of the church. A beige helicopter and beige female figure have been drawn on the right side of the church. A purple path leads away to the lower left of the church, and there is a purple human figure lying in the middle of the path. The bottom third of the drawing contains a plane, a large flowering plant, a female figure, and a rectangle with two vegetables inside of it. A narrow strip of word-processed text has been taped to the front, at the bottom of the page, and it reads the same as the inscription on the back "The soldiers came and killed our families in El Salvador".

Laminated children's drawing consisting of a piece of beige legal paper mounted on a piece of blue construction paper. There is a rectangular piece of white paper on the back carrying an inscription in Spanish "Cuando mataron a mi familia los soldados Hondurenos y los Salvadorenos desde entonces mi sufrimientos por ser guerfano. Por eso denuncio a los demas pueblos del mundo. Que se sola risen con nosotros los refujia dos Salvadorenos. Mi nombre es Carlos". On the front, a blue undulating band crosses the page horizontally, representing a river. The rest of the composition consists of small green hills and human figures in brown and turquoise. There are four brown figures below the river. There are two brown figures and four turquoise figures above the river. All of the turquoise figures are carrying guns and likely represent soldiers. At the top of the composition, an inscription in pink ink reads "masacre en el rio lempa del Salvador en el ano 1981 - cuando mat". A narrow strip of word-processed text has been taped to the front, at the bottom of the page, and it reads "My father was killed by the Honduran and Salvadorean soldiers, that"s [sic] why I am suffering because I am an orphan now. So I call for people of the world to bring solidarity to us the Salvadorean refugees - My name is Carlos". This is a translation of the ink inscription on white paper that has been affixed to the back of the blue paper.
