There are human figures floating in the river. There are three similar objects that appear to be helicopters. One of these objects is above the river, and it is green and yellow. One of these objects below the river is pink and purple, and the other one is brown. The upper left of the composition contains two human figures, and the upper right of the composition contains a group of figures and items. In the middle of the scene, below the green and yellow object, there is human figure that has been coloured black. Above the river are the letters "Els" (El Salvador), and below the river is the letter "H" (Honduras). An inscription reads "rio lempa" near the "H".

Laminated children's drawing consisting of a piece of beige legal paper mounted on a piece of blue construction paper. There is a rectangular piece of white legal paper on the back carrying Spanish inscriptions "Nosotros andamos hoyando por que los soldados de el Salvador nos queriam. Matar a todos por eso hoy estamos refugiados en mesa Grande de San Marcos de Ocotepeque. Ma ma ma - pa pa pa - ma ma ma - pa". On the front, there is a wide, red undulating line with three smaller red shapes in the lower left corner. Above this red line are four winged creatures, a small blue bird, and a small red bird. The word "malgarito" has been written with brown and grey crayon in the upper left of the composition. To the right of the winged creatures and birds is a multicoloured house containing two small red birds. An object is protruding from the roof of the house, and this may represent smoke due to the curling ends of this object. There is a pink object with leaves or spikes at the far right of the page. A narrow strip of word-processed text has been taped to the front, at the bottom of the page, and it reads "We were running away from our home in El Salvador because the Salvadorean soldiers wanted to kill us. That is why we are refugees in Mesa Grande."

Laminated children's drawing consisting of a piece of beige legal paper mounted on a piece of blue construction paper. There is a rectangular piece of white paper on the back carrying an inscription in Spanish "En el rio lempa los soldados hicieron una masacre y mataron muchos ninos hancianos y mujeres nos quemaron las casas donde viviamos. Como viviamos en el salvador vivia mas contentos muy felises en el rio lempa". An undulating band coloured grey, pink, and turquoise crosses the top of the page horizontally. This represents a river. Above the river is a pink and red tree, as well as a multicoloured helicopter. To the right of the helicopter an inscription reads "Jose Luis Ribera". Below the river, a red and yellow path leads from the river to the bottom of the page. A small human figure drawn with pink ink stands on the left side of this path and a large human figure drawn with red and yellow crayon stands on the right side of this path. A narrow strip of word-processed text has been taped to the front, at the bottom of the page, and it reads "In the Lempa River the soldiers made a massacre and killed many children, old people and women. They burned the places where we used to live."

Laminated children's drawing consisting of a piece of beige legal paper mounted on a piece of blue construction paper. There is a rectangular piece of white paper on the back carrying an inscription in Spanish "Jose Francisco Antonio Laines edad 13 anos". The left side of the drawing consists of a brown soccer pitch with five human figures dressed in purple and blue. One of the figures is moving towards a purple soccer ball, and the words "cancha de" have been written in the upper left near one of the goals. The middle of the composition contains a human figure dressed in purple and blue setting up a hammock. The word "amaca" has been written just above the hammock. The right side of the composition contains a fence drawn in blue ink and four gardening plots. Two of the four rows contain vegetables, and the word "hortaliza" has been written in blue ink vertically along the fence.

Beside the pink and orange watering cans are four pink and green radishes labelled "rabanos". Across from the the radishes, on the far right, are four red and green tomatoes labelled "tomates". An inscription in black ink between the radishes and tomatoes reads "Esta es una ortaliza aquien mesas". The lower left of the composition contains four green chilies with the label "chiles". Children's drawing on legal size off-white paper. The bottom of the composition contains a line of seventeen human figures and a helicopter drawn in pencil. Above the helicopter is a multicoloured, vertical, oblong shape that likely represents a river or lake. There are two human figures in the water, and one of them is grasping at a tree that stands on the edge of the water. To the left of this tree and the oblong shape is a scene comprised of two large human figures with seven smaller human figures. The two large figures are both holding one of the smaller figures. A fence has been drawn in pencil along the left side of the composition.
