My Guardian Angel1355/7

Rectangular design of a seated figure with a hat and upraised hands holding a sword in red and black. The stylized figure has black ovoid eyes with the rest of the square face split down the middle by the long downward pointing triangular nose. At either side of the nose, there is a split u, half of a red moth, and four teeth. The chest has two large black ovoids, two pairs of red u forms surrounded by a larger red one that is surrounded by a larger black one, and three pairs of red 'ribs'. The legs are at either sides with the knees bent upward and the feet flat on the ground. The arms are upraised at an angle holding a black sword across and above the head. The figure is wearing a dome-shaped hat, and the head is surrounded by outlines of red spikes with a split u at either side. There are wing-like features at either side of the arms. The figure is sitting on a dome shape that has five split u's surrounded by a red u form and outlined by black. Pencil inscription across the bottom edge reads '36/75 15/8/75 MY GUARDIAN ANGEL Roy Henry Vickers TSIMSHIAN TRIBE KITKATLA B.C.'. There is an embossing on the lower right corner for 'NORTH WEST COAST INDIAN ARTISTS GUILD member' with a salmon-trout head at the centre. Silkscreen print. A red, baby blue, and black seawolf design. The main head is in profile facing to its left with a circular part behind, and above along with a fin-like shaped part below, and at the back. Poó witsa (Whaler's Dream)1355/2

Whaling themed print with red, bright blue, yellow, and black rectangular design. The central design consists of a thin red four-pointed cross-shape with the following black images in each corner, from the top right, clockwise: a whale tail; a lightning bolt with two semi-circles; rain and a wave(?); and a whale dorsal fin with a bird face design. The surrounding images consist of the following, from the top right, clockwise: a red and black human in a blue boat; a red and black paddle; a red and blue human mask; a red and blue fish/whale, with teeth; a small black canoe; a red and black harpoon, with four yellow and red floats attached. Pencil inscription along the bottom edge reads 'Opetchesaht Tribe Poo'witsa 36/75 by Hupquatchew.' There is an embossed stamp on the lower right corner for the Northwest Coast Indian Artists Guild. Printed on vertically rectangular, light brown paper.

W'iigyet's Journey2573/1 a-b

A book (part a) and a feather (part b). The book (part a) has a brown cover and a title of 'W'iigyet's Journey' in black on the front. The pages are white with black lettering and artwork in red and black. A few pages have 'pop-up' artwork. Sections include the following: 'Introduction', 'W'ii Gyet's First Home', 'Feast of the Sun for The Creatures of the Forest', and 'Acknowledgements'. The book is signed and dated on the last page: 'Limited Edition of 10 / W'ii Gyet's Journey / August 2002 / Author / Artist Doreen Jensen / Collaborator / Paper Engineer cindy chan piper / Date December 2002 Edition No. 10'. The dark grey feather (part b) is attached to a twisted cedar bark cord and acts as a bookmark.

Square design of human/raven transformation. Standing frontal figure in black and red has black eyes outlined by red extending into the nose and mouth, a four-pointed star shape in a black ovoid chest, outstretched wings, a body with an upside down red split u, upside down black u forms with cross hatching within, a tail that has four red u forms with cross hatching within, and three digit red protrusions (claws?). The wings have an upside down red split u and a sideways blank t-shape with a black ovoid at the end. Underneath the former two shapes, there is a red and black split u. Underneath the latter black ovoid at the end, there are red u forms surrounded by a larger black one and three feathers. There is a black hat-like shape on top of the head. At either side of the head, there are upside down red split u's that have cross hatching within and red u forms. Above the figure, there are black u forms, black u forms that have cross hatching within, black split u's that have a circle at either side within, red hand-like shapes, upside down red and black split u's, and upside down red double-notched split u's. The Weget Legend1355/6

Black rectangle divided into four quadrants. Each quadrant consists of a separate stylized image. Across the top, there are two figures underneath a red gable roof. Above, there are black diagonal lines on the left side and a notched black line following the roof to the right side. Frontal figure on the left side has arms raised beside the head. A red three digit hand on the right side holds a red split u in a black u form while the black hand on the left side has five digits. Has a black ovoid head with black eyes, and the other features are red. The shes has two red split u's in black u forms with a red line at the centre with rib-like red lines below. Large black ovoid in ovoid below with red legs bent up to the sides ending in round black feet with a single digit appendage. Large figure at the top right has arms raised to either side of the head. A five digit black hand is on the left side while a three digit black hand is on the right side. Black outlined hat over black ovoid head, black eyes with the other features in red. Series of black split u's, red u fomrs, and black u forms give a robe appearance to the body with large black ovoid in ovoids at the knees. Bottom right has a red circle with radiating red lines to the quadrant edges and an elongated salmon-trout ovoid across the centre. Bottom left has a diagonal frontal frog-like face with three digit limbs to either side and a crosshatched triangle filled lower half of quadrant. Divided from the frog, top right to bottom left, by notched red band, there are circles and split bands on the right and the bottom. A red, bright blue, and black image consisting of a central design surrounded by other images along a black rectangular border. The central design is a shark figure with a fisherman on its back. A harpoon has pierced the back of the shark, releasing red curls of blood. The border has three images in rectangular blocks, the lower two in blue and the upper left in red.
