Bear's tooth used as charm.* One bear's tooth (5638/203) returned from Grant County Public Utility District, Wanapum Dam Heritage Center on January 25, 1995. These materials were originally sent to Grant County PUD for future exchange (see Borrower's Agreement - 1966), but the exchange papers were never drawn up. Chipped spear heads; leaf-shaped with convex base. Numbers of specimens in upper left hand corner -9 (8)- were entered by Frank Barnett, who checked the material in 1939, working as a volunteer. Original ledger number was 11.* Previous count of 9 on the computer, but only three in colelction. Stone image head.* Weathered volcanic cobble (andesite?). Possibly a grooved maul or a net sinker. It has aa central pecked groove and battering on both ends. One end is pecked and this end has a central line pecked into it and two circular areas that were then drilled to resemble eyes (zoomorphic).
