Brass horse with Chinese character on back at top, below which is larger pinwheel with bell at centre, below which is rectangular plaque with four Chinese characters.

Double bed quilt of unstructured cotton fibres covered with a loosely woven netting of white, red, and green cotton threads. Label reads "DOUBLE HAPPINESS BRAND/MADE IN THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA".

Round, low basket (part a) of finely split bamboo with traces of green dye, especially inside lid (part b) and on bottom. Lid (part b) is ornamented with light purple glass bangles secured with finely knotted yellow cotton cord. Eleven Chinese coins are sewn on lid (part b) with light purple, yellow, green, and blue glass beads.

Piece of brown jacquard-weave silk. Right side has been coated with a heavy black glaze, resulting in a stiff and shiny fabric. Raw ends, selvedges run length.
