Mamulengo hand puppet of 'Chota e filho' or woman and child characters. Heads and hands are carved from wood and painted. Both characters have orange-beige skin. The woman has chin-length painted black hair with attached bow decorations on the left side, and red nails. The woman's fabric body / tunic has a solid yellow top, and skirt with matching sleeves of a red with purple flowers, green polka dots and yellow hearts fabric. The fabric is adhered(?) to the hands and head, and wrapped with shiny dark pink ribbon at the wrists and neck of the woman, and shiny light blue ribbon around the cuffs of the child. The son is wearing a dark blue floral shirt, and dark green floral pants. Operated by inserting a hand inside the body of the puppet to control its head and movements.
