Model Totem PoleA7832

Small, carved wooden totem pole with a concaved back. The pole is rectangular in shape with a slight taper through the middle and a large, wide figure at the top. The figures from top to bottom: eagle with its wings spread holding a killer whale in its talons; the body of the killer whale runs horizontally; small green frog sitting sideways with its head facing in opposite direction to the whale; black bear; human-like figure holding its hands to its face; green frog facing downwards; human-like head. The pole is painted red, green, yellow and black with northwest coast stylized designs.

Dance KnifeA7831

Warrior dance knife, or baton in the form of Sisiutl. Central front-facing head with two upward and outward curling horn-like appendages at the top and a profile head on either side, each of which has another upward and backward curling horn-like appendage at the top. Each profile head has a red tongue that protrudes outward at a slight upward angle. Painted black, red, and green.

Large dance screen with black designs on natural coloured ground. The screen is made from four irregular shaped pieces sewn together. In the centre is a raven motif in profile with open beak, tongue visible, wings and legs spread. The tail appears unfinished. The motif is painted in black with a lighter, oily paint spread into the fabric beyond the black outlines.
