Ceramic head of Indian type. Locality: Ploughed up near Vader, WA. Received From: Flora Saary (Saari). Ceramic report coming from Prof. Muellen.* L.Phillips, 11/1/2000: This ceramic figurine head appears to be historic/contemporary. There is no indication that this is "of Indian type" as the ledger suggests. Ceramic prehistoric objects of any kind are extremely rare in the Northwest, and those that have been documented are primarily from the Columbia River region. The facial features of the figurine do not resemble other anthropomorphic artifacts from the Northwest. *Information is from the original accession ledger.
