Skirt406/7

Red skirt with pleats and embroidery. Across the top is a wide cotton waistband with two loops. On the edges of the skirt are thick black borders with lotus, circular gold ornament and scroll motifs in gold, white, light and dark blue. On the edges of the pleats are black borders. On the front and back are square sections with peony, butterfly and fish motifs in red, yellow, blue, green and white on red ground. Scattered on the lower half of the skirt are peony, leaf and butterfly motifs. The inside is lined with a red damask containing a floral and zigzag pattern.

Rectangular piece of red cotton mirror cloth with embroidery in cream, black, yellow, peach, red and purple. Cloth is covered in geometric embroidered designs; a large central square flanked on either side by two smaller squares, all surrounded by a large rectangular border. Many circular pieces of mirror have been incorporated into the design.
