A model totem pole depicting a sitting human figure, a whale, and an eagle? (from bottom to top). The human has oval red eyes with black brows above, a nose, and an open red mouth with a brown body that has the hands resting across the large belly. The whale has oval yallow eyes with an open red mouth that has yellow lips. The black whale is facing downward with a yellow tail curving upward and downward, a small yellow dorsal fin and yellow side fins. The eagle ? on top has semi-oval black eyes with a yellow head and a red beak, yellow claws at the bottom front, and a black body with red lined side wings. Nailed to a rectangular base. A small metal ring is attached near the top back through which a small white string is tied.

Model Totem PoleNb3.1448

A model totem pole model depicting a bear(?), frog, and bird (from bottom to top). The bear's black eyes are outlined with yellow and it has yellow upper teeth with a black tongue; its brown body is painted red, yellow, and black. The frog's yellow eyes are outlined with yellow with dark red-brown brows, and its body is painted dark green with red and yellow dots. The bird's red eyes are surrounded by a yellow and a dark green area with black above and a yellow beak. The outstretched wings each have five feather sections painted dark green, red, and black. Writing on the back says: "J. Johnson Alert Bay BC Skidigate".

Painted miniature totem pole with three figures on a beveled base. Top figure is a bird with a grey-blue stomach that is wearing a top hat and sitting on a box with animal figures on its sides and a face on the front; middle figure is the same kind of bird, but with a white stomach; bottom figure is sitting and has grey-blue around eyes, pink mouth, grey-blue stomach, and is holding a grey, pointed object. Bottom of base has red inscription.

Small, rectangular carrying basket with rounded edges and two leather strip handles. Coiled with bifurcated stitches and slat bottom and sides. Cedar root with beaded designs in red and black wild cherry bark. Geometric design in alternating rows of red and black in four horizontal rows: the long sides have red in the middle with black at either side and the short ends have red.

Purse-like carrying basket with two wrapped loop handles. Has the shape of a round rectangle and is coiled with bifurcated stitches, also having slat bottom and sides. Cedar with imbricated design in grass and wild cherry bark in geometric motifs. Diamond shaped motif on the two ends with arrow shapes on the two sides.

Trunk-like basket with an attached lid. Rounded, rectangle with slat construction. Coiled with bifurcated stitches on the basket body and the outer edge of the lid. Cedar with imbricated design of cherry bark and grass. Lid has imbricated design on the outer edge and a small amount of beaded stripe design on top. Design on basket body consists of continuous vertical and horizontal bands where both beading and imbrication are used. Horizontal bands are thin strips of black and white beading. Vertical bands alternate black, red, and white imbrication with black and white beading similar to the horizontal bands. Leather handle on top of the lid and leather strips attaching the lid to the basket.

Part (a) cylindrical coiled basket (with bifurcated stitches) (a) with lid (part b). Imbrication and beading and watch spring coiling. Lid is raised at centre. Bottom rim is beaded intermittently in cherry bark. Bottom of basket is imbricated in geometric design; sides are decorated with leaf-shaped motifs, 4 pair, alternating red and white with black and white. Lid has 4 sets of imbricated triangle motifs, alternating red and black. Centre of lid has beaded and imbricated circles.
