Brown silk cloth with 14 embroidered areas. Numbered end shows two mirror image gold embroidered dragons over waves motifs with bands of blue, green, red, and brown. Green bats, blue clouds and flaming circle around dragon. Next area of embroidery towards center of cloth shows four mirror image cocks over same wave pattern, with green bat. Same motif is repeated off-center to these. Next area of embroidery is towards the opposite end, showing two squares with gold embroidered dragon surrounded by blue clouds, flaming circle, red and green bats, flowers, shell, and fish, over a red flower and wave pattern. Above each of these squares are two small wave motifs. At other edge are two cock, wave and bat motifs mirrored. At opposite end of cloth is one cock, wave and bat motif in one corner. Along edge are two Chinese characters.

Basketry HolderA4084

Wicker type of holder with woven loop for hanging it on a wall (?). Holder is formed from an oval of basketry folded up and around to form a pocket. Edge and warp are of dark wood while weft is of light brown grass. A small piece of thread is sewn through a strand of grass on rear interior.

Cylindrical light brown coloured basket (part a) with lid (part b). Basket holds a nest of four additional baskets with lids (parts c-j). Exterior lid (part b) has a cream coloured circular design in its centre. A band of leaf(?) is woven around rim of lid (part b) and top rim of basket (part b).

Rectangular flared coiled basket (bifurcated stitches) with foot. Parallel slat base construction. Overcast coil handle attached with string. Imbricated designof vertically connected triangles; on long side two bands of red cherry bark with cat-tail grass (?) centers, and a wider band of dark cherry bark triangles and a background of cat-tail grass (?); shorter sides with one wide band of red cherry bark triangles on background of cat-tail grass (?). Foot has red cherry bark beading.

Rectangular basket of simple coiled work (bifurcated stitches) with parallel slat base and lid construction. Partially imbricated and beaded. Two wires reinforce overcast rim, and leather strap hinges are sewn on. Copper handles are screwed into the sides. Alternating rows of imbrication and beading are arranged in a band of alternating cherry bark and cat-tail squares and a beaded section in cat-tail. Lid has similar design. The red bands are crabapple. Colours: black, tan.

Square, rattle-bottomed basket with a round upper rim. Basket with open weave as follows: base is plaited (double layer); sides - the warp is double and is left bare, a slat is placed in between the warp strands, a row of plain twined weaving follows. The result is an "openwork weave" which is not open. Four of the weft strands are dyed and in sets of three double warp strands are dyed brown. Result is sort of a plaid design. Rattle inside double base.

Basket with four sides that taper slightly towards the base and a foot composed of three rows beaded with bulrush. The basket has an overall triangle motif (vertex facing downwards) in red, black and off-white. The body is simple coiled work (bifurcated stitches). Partial imbrication and beading, and parallel slat base construction, and an overcast rim.
