Mamulengo hand puppet of a 'Fiscal' (supervisor) character. Head and hands are carved from wood and painted. He has dark brown-beige skin, large oval black eyes, thick rounded black eyebrows, a closed mouth with downturned red lips, and black hair. His fabric body / tunic is light green with sleeves and skirt from a red with blue and white floral fabric. The fabric is adhered(?) to the hands and head, and wrapped with shiny red ribbon at the wrists and neck. Operated by inserting a hand inside the body of the puppet to control its head and movements.

Rod Puppet3352/12

Mamulengo rod (stick) puppet of a woman and child character. Heads, hands and feet are carved from wood. The woman has black skin, large black almond-shaped eyes, red glossy lips, curly black hair made of fibre, and a green and red floral scarf on her head. She wears a long-sleeved brightly-coloured dress and blue floral pants, both with yellow cuffs. She is barefoot. The woman's left hand holds a bundle wrapped in blue floral fabric on her head. The woman is holding a baby in her right arm. The baby is pink-beige, with blue eyes, painted chin-length black hair, and is wrapped in blue floral fabric. Operated by a single rod attached to the body.

Mamulengo rod (stick) puppet of a male character. Head, hands and feet are carved from wood. The man has black skin, large black almond-shaped eyes, and red glossy lips. He wears a round woven hat, long-sleeved dark blue with red floral shirt, and yellow with heart-pattern pants. He is barefoot. The fabric is adhered(?) to the hands and head, and wrapped with shiny neon green ribbon at the wrists and neck. Operated by three rods - one large rod is attached to the lower back, and two more rods are attached to each foot.
