Cushion Cover1730/16

Square, skin cushion cover. Fringe of different lengths along all four sides. Along edges between fringe and painting is a strip of skin laced through cover to attach cotton backing to front. Painted, incised design on front of a thunderbird, with outstretched wings, atop a Sisiutl. Middle of Sisiutl is painted with the face of a human figure.

Box1730/15

Rectangular wooden box with hinges and a lock. Lid of box has a painted eagle on it with outstretched wings and abalone eye. Small circles of abalone are inlaid around all four edges of lid. Painted on front of box, below lock, are an eagle and two beavers. On either end of box are small handles. One side handle has a string tied around it with two small keys (for lock) attached to it. Inside box is a cotton batting like material attached to inside of lid and bottom of box.

Model Totem Pole1730/14

Model totem pole on square base. First figure (top to bottom) is a thunderbird with outstretched wings. On thunderbird's torso is the face of a human figure with large eyes and grinning mouth, showing teeth. Second figure is a bear with the tail of a killer whale in its teeth. Third figure is the head of a bear. Inscriptions written on back.

Model Canoe1730/8 a-d

Carved model canoe (part a) painted with traditional designs and three wooden, painted paddles (parts b-d). Body of canoe is carved from a single piece of wood. Canoe has four benches, painted with a red and black design. There is one seat at the bow and one at the stern. Design on exterior of canoe is of a feather ? motif. Inscription written on inside, bottom of canoe. On one side there is an inscription also written along the centre of two of the paddles (parts b and c) with parallel diagonal red lines at the tip, and on the other side each of these paddles has a different red and black design. The other paddle has one diagonal red line at the tip and another around the middle (part d).

Small wooden paddle with painted imagery. Paddle surface is smooth. One side of paddle is painted with a scene depicting two figures paddling a red boat in green waters. Behind them, in the distance, are two red buildings. The second side is painted with a traditionally styled First Nations design of an animal's face ? Handle grip is painted red. Inscription written on paddle arm.

Bracelet1730/5

Silver(?) bracelet. In centre there is an engraving of an animal's face with large round eyes and down turned mouth with prominent front teeth. On either side of face is a foot (front foot ?), then a design, then another foot (back foot ?) and then another design. Very light inscription on inner side of bracelet.

Silver bracelet. In centre of bracelet is an upside down teardrop-shaped design. On both sides of this design is the side profile of a bird with the beak pointing towards the centre. On either end of the bracelet, beside the bird profiles, are two identical designs, possibly wings(?). Engraved inscription on inside of bracelet.

Silver bracelet. In centre, engraved depiction of an owl with outstretched wings. Under each wing is a tiny fish. On one side of owl's wing is an engraving of a bear holding a tree trunk. On other side of owl's wing is an engraved design. Birks inscription on inside of bracelet.
