Small, cylindrical woven basket (a) with a fitted lid (b); lit has a raised knob in the centre. Plain twined weaving with skipped stitch weave at top. Three bands of purple alternating with natural vertical stripes placed out of phase with each other, resulting from plain twined weaving (two-strand) using one purple and one natural weft element.

Brown basket made of simple coiled work (bifurcated stitches) with watch-spring base construction and a base that has a central hole. Fully beaded and partially imbricated with cross-stitch on the rim. Three staggered rows of triangles (vertex down) in red on a beaded bullrush ground. Interior of base has staggered shapes in black.

BasketA1892

Brown cylindrical basket with interlocking coiled work, bifurcated stitches, and watch-spring base construction. Openwork looped section mid-basket with loop work border along the rim of the basket. Entire basket is decorated with beading with the exception of the loop work. The sides are beaded in strips of red cherry bark and in cat-tail grass. The fifth row is red cherry bark. Beading is done in a 2:1 ratio with two beaded rows per slat.

Oval-shaped brown tray with handles at either end. Simple coiled work with bifurcated stitches and elongated watch-spring base construction. Two strand loop work border, coiled work handles and partial imbrication. Black curved lines radiate around the centre. Shapes staggered for three rows on outside, with some grass added into design.

Basketry tray of simple coiled work (bifurcated stitches) with elongated watch-spring base construction and two coiled handles emerging from a double-strand loop work rim. Every fourth or fifth row is beaded with black-dyed cherry bark. The third row from the centre has cross forms, and the fourth row has triangular forms. The fifth row has triangular forms all in line with each other. There are double cross designs on the exterior.
