BowlA8061

Light brown wood dish in the form of a flounder and inlaid with turquoise beads. The pupil of the eyes are beads surrounded by a carved circle in tapering oval. The open mouth shows eight bead teeth. The tail has two beads in a vertical line along the top. There are back fins, one at either side of the tail. There are twenty-one beads around the rim. Sixteen beads form a cross within the bowl.

The border around the outside of the mat is made of woven dark strands. The edges are finished by including a wide strip of dark bark as the outermost strand and casing on a core of cedar bark.
