Model canoe (a), with 2 figures (b-c), 2 paddles (d-e), 1 mast (f). Outside of canoe painted with Norhtwest coast designs. Figure b is seated and has long hair with crosshatching and is wearing a red stove pipe hat. Figure c is seated, has a prominent nose and is wearing a black hat with six raised scallops. Parts d and e are carved paddles with "T" shaped handles. Paddles painted black with three sets of red diagonal lines. Part f is a carved mast, with carved ends. Both figures have stamped/incised letters on bottom.
Model pole with a frog, raven, bear and human wearing shaman's headdress (bottom to top). Back has been hollowed out slightly.
Wolf mask which projects up and out from the plane of a dancer's forehead. The black and white head has a snout and partly laid back ears on top of the head. Ears have a black exterior; interior, rimmed in white, is red and green with a white split-u. Top of head, brows and snout are black with white lines and arcs on mouth, cheeks, top of snout and edges of head. Outer white orb sweeps from back bottom of mask up to top of snout. Eye is black eyelid line with an inner line in red, a white eyeball and the pupil is a black dot within the circle of the iris. Teeth are white rectangles lined in red; canines are pointed. Red tongue is a flat disk projecting from mouth, resting against the snout. The lips are red; red nostrils have two white drilled holes. One green ovoid behind each eye and three green split-u's on either cheek. Four, rectangular pieces of abalone in brow and five pieces above the mouth are set with nails. Long, white, cotton shoelaces are tied to the back, corner of the mask.
Animalistic painted wooden mask with a beak-like mouth. The upper beak is black with white dabs of paint along the edges. The lips are red and the lower beak is black. Inside the mask two ropes are strung to open the lower beak and move the tongue. The area surrounding the eyes is painted light brown. The eye is outlined in black, then red. The eye is made from a piece of reflective glass. On the top of the mask metal framework is attached and carries on inside and at the rear, by which the mask was held on the head. There are many fibres tangled about the metal framework at the rear. Also on top fibres are wrapped around nails.
Wooden creaser with bird heads protruding on both ends. Lower edge of the tool is curved and carved lengthways on the ventral surface with a long groove. An oblong opening in the centre of the piece functions as a grip. The flat, domed shaped edge at the top of the creaser has file marks on its dorsal surface. The remains of a previous powdery paint finish, in orange-red that has been turned black in areas, cover most of the two faces of the creaser. The natural wood colour is a yellow-brown.
Wooden mat creaser with polished surface. Bird-shaped with projections, or heads, at each end. The wood is a dark reddish brown colour with a few black patches. A groove is present on the vental surface. One face or side of the creaser is slightly convex, while the other is flat or slightly concave in places. The slightly convex face has several cut marks which cross each other near the proximal edge, near the midline.
Small cylindrical basket with a wave motif and several animal figures in purple and red: three birds, a whale and a dog-like figure. Wrapped twined weaving on sides and base; folded warp rim.
Mask made from cut out planks of wood formed in a triangular-like shape with flat sides, a thin adjoining nose piece and a rectangular shaped piece of wood at the back. Detailed in blue and orange Northwest Coast stylized forms is a wolf with rectangular shaped nostrils, bared teeth and large eyes. The mouth and eyes are inlaid with pieces of mirrored glass as well as other small sections. Protruding from the top edge of the headdress are numerous thin sections of baleen creating a fringe. The inside has two thin wooden strips attached to two larger bars to create a frame for the head. Covering the frame is a piece of cotton fabric. Fibre ties hang from the bottom edge.
