The high crown is deeply dented at the centre and sides of the top. The wide brim curls up at the sides and is finished with white plastic sewn to the edge.

The flat paddle (part b) has a notch at the top and is pointed for attaching maguey strands to prevent slipping. Handle inserted through hole below notch. Natural brown wood colour with a patina from use.
