Model totem pole painted brown, black, green, and red-brown. It consists of a human figure on a base; a long fish held face down in front of the human; and an eagle with outstretched wings standing on the human's head. The base and wings are separate pieces of wood, attached by nails and glue. Painted designs include facial features, face painting on the human, fish scales, a face on the eagle's body. Signed "Charlie James" and "EGD" on back; "Duncan" written on base.
Mask with top knot of folded cedar bark wrapped with a strip of red plastic near the base. The mask is painted grey and has two indented diagonal curved shapes near the top of the forehead. Curvilinear eyebrow ridges extend beyond the side edges, and beaten copper is nailed to the surface of each. The eyes have circular hollow protruding pupils made of abalone shell, and the hooked beak-like nose has wide rounded nostrils. The open red mouth has pointed recurved lips. The mask also has a pointed chin and a series of black curved lines that accent the cheeks from chin to temple. Signed by artist on reverse.
Interior panel has outdoor scene with ladies in front of a building with border of floral design and butterflies and band of geometric motif around rim. Exterior has geometric band around rim and at neck of base, and has a phoenix design on royal blue. Inscription on underside of base.
Interior has a scene with two priests seated in the garden. Exterior is decorated with a leaf pattern. All in blue and white. Top rim is painted brown. Unmarked.
Thin, bangle-like silver bracelet with a small opening through which to slip one's wrist. Engraved segments of patterning on the outside with an arrowhead-like image at one end and an arrow's notch-end on the other; both ends are contoured to fit the shape of their respective engraved images.
Large, carved, wooden, raven hamatsa mask with a long beak and an ovoid shaped ridge for a nose. The beak is hinged with pieces of rubber nailed to either side. The beak is painted black with a red mouth and circular cutout nostrils. At the back of the mouth are two s-shapes. Around the nose is a red ovoid and U-forms. The eyes are white, outlined in black on a white, ovoid shaped background; brow is black. The inside of the mask is hollow with the exception of twine used to open and close the beak along with a fibre head ring. The top, side and bottom edges of the mask are lined with braided cedar. The top has short pieces of cedar creating a fringe, while the back has longer strips that hang over the wearer. The underside of the mouth is painted black with a small white design. The mask is painted black, red, and white with Northwest Coast stylized designs.
Rectangular wall hanging with a basic structure of discontinuous weft twining. The weft is one-ply hand spun wool with a long knotted fringe on one end and loops from the warp on the other end. The warp is commercial off-white wool and forms a fringe at one end and a series of loops at the other end. The design consists of two vertical grey zigzags running vertically and two joined dark brown triangles at one corner, all on a grey-brown ground. Blue 'Salish Weaving' tag sewn to back.
A pipe with a case (part b). The pipe is wooden with a bird motif (tiki), spirals, and double spirals around plain eyes, corners of the mouth, abd along the sides, and the bottom with a plain tongue protruding. A chevron pattern is along the stem up to the silver bands. The silver is engraved with flowers along the rim, and the centre of the stem. The stem is loose with the rest of the stem being of orange (resin?). The bands on the stem have the letters "ller" and three symbols: an anchor, an "s", and a lion. Underneath the symbols, there is the word "kia-ora". The end of the stem has teeth marks, mostly on the underside. The case is brown leather, made in Vienna. It has a brass frame with hinges. The inside is red valour, and has the words, 'Sterling silver mounts', and a red bird emblem with the letters 'KK' on one side.
Model totem pole figures (part a) portraying a raven(?) and a Sisiutl which has panels (parts b and c) that are inserted into the base of the pole and project from each side. Overall, painted with the colours black, red, and green. Figures are secured to a rounded base with nails.
Two big thin flat rectangular-shaped woven pieces with one piece (part a) fitting into the other (part b). The main design is consisting of dark brown linear geometric design in four panels on a faded red, and natural-coloured background.
