Cylindrical vase that widens near the top and tapers towards the bottom. The bottom is slightly raised by a pedestal base. The vase has elaborate patterns around the outside that consist of birds, figures and foliate scrolls. There is a palm leaf border near the base.

Standing figure of Hotei depicted with his usual expression of laughter. He is clothed in loose attire revealing his abdomen and carries a fan in one hand. Hotei is a legendary Chinese Zen priest known as Pu T'ai. He is said to have lived in the T'ang times as a vagabond priest with a large bag carried on the end of a stick.

Screen consisting of an embroidered image of an old man and woman raking pine needles below a pine tree framed with wood and with a sheet of glass protecting it. The image is embroidered in off-white, light pink, blue, brown, black, green and gold on a light orange-pink fabric background. The wood frame is divided into sections around the image with low-relief geometric designs as well as elongated oval holes, there are two vertical pieces at the sides of the frame with more geometric low-relief design as well as a finial at the top of each, two arched feet at the sides, and cloud-like carved protrusions at the top corners. The frame has a dark red-brown finish.
