Parts a and b each have a small, roughly rectangular ivory piece with black characters on it near the top of the pick set at a right angle to the shaft; part b is also capped by a circular ivory piece. Parts c and d each have a small pink shell affixed near the top of the pick and black calligraphy on the shaft.

Elongated, black lacquered wooden box lined with silk and paper. The inside of the lid is painted with a polychrome image of a bird, flowers, and a rock. Top of the lid is painted with golden flowers and birds. The bottom half of the box is fitted with a cut-out to accommodate a fan.

A pair of books. The covers consist of an abstract design with flower, diamond, and leaf shapes on gold silk. The pages are blank, and open in an accordian style.
