Large rectangular robe of orange-red and gold striped ground. The robe is made of narrow pieces sewn together to make a large rectangle. There are several symbols overall, including a rooster, mask and instruments. The back is lined with mauve silk.

A wide white rounded circular shell piece that curls around, creating a bracelet-like effect. The outside of the inner end has brown spots.

Framed embroidery panel. A long narrow strip of silk with embroidered designs consisting of vases, incense burners, and flowers. All in polychrome outlined with gold on a white background. Backed onto a piece of paper in a wood frame protected with glass.

A vertically rectangular painted stone plaque of an outdoor scene with a scholar in a pavilion and two students resting just outside with a tree in the middle. Colours are red, green, brown, and white. All figures are carved and inlaid. The effect is of a stone bas-relief on a wooden ground. Has a dark brown-black wood frame with an ornate metalwork design at the top. Some stone pieces are cracked or loose.

Two cylindrical beaker shaped vases (parts a and b) with plants and flowers and birds perched on branches. All in blue on white ground. Brown rim and foot bands. Naive decoration. Incised mark on bottom reads Chinese date ch'eng hua reign (1465 - 1487).

Large porcelain bowl; exterior is decorated with cherry blossom in white on blue ground; interior has similar motifs in centre and around rim.

Vertical hanging scroll of 3 sparrows, one perched on a prunus tree and the two others in flight. Colours used are white, pink, green, black and brown. Mounted on black silk. Black Japanese characters and red symbols in top left corner. Bottom wood dowel is covered in patterned textile at both ends.
