Although the surface shows signs of polishing, since the artifact has broken into such small pieces it's hard to say for sure. Excavated by R. Artifacts look like long bone fragments (from a large animal). The largest fragment has had all the edges broken but rounded, with smooth surfaces. All fragments have a clear substance painted on them with "45KI53 2N27W 506" written on them in black ink. Excavated by Shong on 8/1/80. The artifact card labels the fragments as "worked bone--4 large pieces" on 8/19/80. Three pieces have been located as of 11/25/03 and have been consolidated into one bag.
